We recently created something special for my
sister’s family – we found a 25 minute Hollywood studio animated film that had gone into
the public domain called The Little Christmas Burro. We completely
deconstructed the soundtrack, then rebuilt it adding new music and new
sound effects.
The purpose of all this was that my sister has
two young children (twins), and in the new DVD the narrators of the film
are now my daughter and her other cousin. Plus, both the film’s opening
credits and the Hollywood style DVD case list both the Twins’ names and our new
Narrators.
Please note that while this demo is under 7 minutes long, the running time for the actual film is about 25 minutes.
A buddy of mine saw the DVD and thought this was so cool he
offered to pay us to do a version that he could narrate for his own
child.
So if any of your family or friends want one of these,
go to the Contact page and we'll email you the details. (Religion note: Although this is definitely not
a religious film, “Christmas Burro” doesn’t refer to Santa – the very
last scene is at the birth of Jesus.)
Since most of the time the burro, mouse, camels, etc. are talking or
singing, one or two people can easily knock out the narration in a half
hour. (And don't think you have to be perfect -- multiple takes on each paragraph are normal, we just cut out the bad ones.) We'll email you easy to follow instructions, you'll send the recording back to us, and we'll do the rest!
